Join a small group of like-minded women: Mothers, daughters, sisters, friends & colleagues as we immerse ourselves in the heart of contemporary Vietnamese culture and the spiritual soul of an ancient civilisation. This is a holiday designed to stimulate the senses, activate our imaginations and introduce us to different ideas and people. As responsible tourists, our aim is to respect and support local culture and economic enterprise.

ITINERARY

Saturday, 14 January 2012
Fly to Vietnam with Vietnam Airlines. Arrive Da Nang airport & transfer to Hoi An, a colourful and bustling ancient town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check into Life Heritage Resort & tonight, get to know your fellow travelers with cocktails & canapes by the pool.

Sunday, 15 January 2012
Today we explore the Old Quarter of Hoi An and experience Vietnamese culture first hand. Visit merchants, pagodas, the famous Japanese Covered Bridge and Temples; a two hundred year old house & Reaching Out Handicrafts, our giving back opportunity.
Lunch at a local restaurant. Hoi An is a haven for the fashion conscious. After lunch we will visit Yaly Couture and be introduced to Hoi An’s finest tailors.

Full Moon Town Restaurant for dinner and “make a wish” candle ceremony Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Monday, 16 January
Enjoy a fascinating market tour, then journey by boat along the picturesque river to famous Red Bridge Restaurant & Cooking School to cook Vietnamese cuisine with our private chef.

After lunch we will join a lantern making workshop via quaint little country roads surrounding Hoi An.

Tuesday, 17 January
Early morning tour to My Son, the ruins of Hindu temples of the Champa Civilization 4th-14th Century. Or enjoy a complimentary spa treatment at Life Heritage Resort.

This afternoon, Judith Salmon will host cultural discussions & Karen Atkins will be available for a creative art workshop.

Wednesday, 18 January
Enjoy our new Hoi An Eco tour – Fisherman & The Waterways of a Past. Journey aboard Vietnamese bamboo basket boats and explore the tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways. Experience an authentic social and cultural insight into the Vietnamese way of life.

Thursday, 19 January
This morning we will complete our Creative Responses to the Hoi An experience – sketching, photography, writing, collecting our best memories to take home. Free afternoon for relaxing. Tonight we say farewell. Reminisce on the week we’ve had with dinner at a special restaurant in Hoi An. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner Friday, 20 January Transfer to airport for your flight back to Australia
